Today I read an article that broke my heart. I detailed how a group of thinkers from Oxford came together and agreed that parents should be able to perform “after birth abortions” if they find their child is born with a defect or disability they did not anticipate. They argued that killing a baby after birth, in reality, is no different from performing an abortion. Since children with disabilities cannot be guaranteed a quality life they said, parents should not be burdened by caring for them if they choose not to.
I am no longer a woman of intellect. My mind is easily muddled and confused. One thing however I am clear on. God’s creation is stunningly beautiful. From the Grand Canyon to small lovely flowers – even still to tiny babies like my precious James – and those yet still in the womb – we must be good stewards of His creation and protect it all with passion and love.
